Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)/ACT Prep

Program
| The SAT/ACT Prep mission is to provide resources, workshops and proctored SAT/ACT practice tests to prepare our students to achieve an outstanding performance on their college entrance examinations. |
 | The program is open to ALL high school youth in the Grace First Baptist | |
| church. |
| We will offer two SAT practice tests each school year, one in the fall and | |
| one in the spring, each one scheduled 4-6 weeks before the SAT test date recommended by the committee for students to take. |
| We will offer one ACT practice test in the spring. |
| These tests will be administered in a simulated SAT/ACT test environment | |
| and will be proctored by SAT/ACT Prep Committee officers. The purpose of the practice SAT/ACT tests is to allow students the opportunity to gauge their expected performance on the actual SAT/ACT test. |
| Tests will be graded by SAT/ACT Prep committee officers and kept | |
| confidential. |
| SAT/ACT Prep Committee officers will work in conjunction with the College | |
| Prep committee to provide one-on-one and/or group tutoring. |
| SAT/ACT Prep will also provide preparation assistance & workshops to | |
| include: |
Math Workshops: Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, and Data Analysis
Critical Reading/Writing Workshops: Essay Writing, Sentence Completion,
Reading Comprehension, Error ID /Improper Sentences and Improper
Paragraphs
Resources: SAT review books, Internet resources, and take-home study
materials
